Visoko Pyramids Mystery is a half-day tour from Sarajevo to the Pyramids of Visoko.
You might have heard of Bosnian Pyramids, found in 2005 by Bosnian archaeologist, Semir Osmanagic. But have you known that Bosnian Pyramids are older and bigger even than the Egyptian Pyramids?
In this half-day tour from Sarajevo to Visoko you will hear different versions and studies of this remarkable phenomena, considering the fact that not everyone admits this Bosnian wonder of architecture are actually pyramids. The fact is also that we are not even close to finish the excavations at the pyramids itself, but you will find some extraordinary proofs (cement stones) of a civilization existing for more than 30.000 years at that region.
During the tour, we will see the biggest Bosnian pyramid – Pyramid of Sun, the famous Underground Tunnels “Ravne” as well as visit Viskoko city center.
After around half an hour ride from Sarajevo, we arrive at our first destination – Bosnian Pyramid of Sun.
With its height of over 270 meters, it is the tallest pyramid in the world. It has a regular pyramid geometry with three preserved sides: north, east and west. It is lined with rectangular blocks. According to the Institute of Materials from Bosnia and Herzegovina (2006-2008) and the Politecnico di Torino from Italy (2009), the blocks are made of the highest quality concrete material superior to modern concrete.
Since the pyramid is still mostly covered in vegetation, you will be able to see a few of the previously mentioned concrete blocs.
After the visit to the Pyramid of Sun, we arrive at Underground Tunnel “Ravne”.
Huge network of underground tunnels, intersections, chambers and water accumulations was constructed under the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids.
During the guided visit inside of the biggest of these underground tunnels complex, you will see and find out about all the extraordinary discoveries inside of these tunnels, including its healing power.
After visiting Bosnian Pyramid and underground tunnels complex, we will wonder around streets of the old town of Visoko. We will recommend a lunch in a restaurant nearby the river Bosna.
